USB flash drives may be for some people who already have a laptop or notebook is very minor function, but for me, USB flash drive is very important. Exchange data, copying data from one computer to another computer, install operating systems, are some functions that  frequently I use. In order USB flash drives not easily damaged it must know how to remove from the computer. Instructions to remove safely are:
  1. Close all files you accessed from the flash drive. This is necessary for the device to be removed properly. If you haven't closed them yet, do so, but don't forget to save them.
  2. Go to the notification area in your task bar. It should be located on the bottom right side. You will see a USB icon with a check on it. Use your mouse to right-click the icon. Click the Safely Remove Hardware command using your left mouse button. A small window will be displayed.
  3. Select the USB flash drive you want to unplug then click Stop button. A confirmation window will show up. Click the appropriate hardware device then click OK.
  4. A message box will pop up letting you know it is now safe to unplug the USB flash drive from your computer. Click OK then click Close button.
